Synergy Training and Support: Setting You Up for Success

Getting up to speed on advanced construction technology can come with a few challenges, and these challenges can get in the way of reaching your full potential on site. At Synergy, we take training and support seriously, and take the time to give you the proper guidance to succeed. Our extensive network of offices and depth of knowledge means we’ll quickly respond to your needs, to avoid any delays on site. In this blog, we’ll take a look at 5 things you’ll get out of our comprehensive training and reliable support - so you can hit the ground running on your next big project.

1. Full consultation to understand your needs

The depth of knowledge here at Synergy is second to none, and we have decades of experience between the team. We’ve taken the time to get a comprehensive understanding of the equipment, and how it will impact your business, so that we can guide you in the right direction to maximise your overall performance.

When you first jump on board with Synergy, we’ll take a closer look at how you’re working with your equipment and current systems, to find ways that you can be more efficient. It’s important that you’re utilising your assets in the most effective way for your business. As an example, if you’re using two or three different systems on your machines, we’ll look at how you might be able to get away with using one system and distribute other expensive components between other machines.

Additionally, it’s always in your best interest to maintain your equipment to avoid potential downtime from technical issues that can arise, so we’ll give you a good rundown on system maintenance. With the proper training and procedures in place, mistakes are less likely to happen, saving you time and money in the long run.

2. Training and support for operators

Every team is different, and a one size fits all approach to training doesn’t usually work. It can be daunting when you first start using new technology, and businesses are often hesitant to invest in this equipment because they’re worried that it will be too complicated to use on site. This is a common concern, and often becomes a barrier for businesses who would like to take their operation to the next level.

The training and support provided by Synergy is tailored to your team and their exact needs. Our training varies from company to company, and we’re happy to accommodate all levels of understanding. We’ve trained operators who pick things up straight away, and others who need a little bit more time - in either case, we’re flexible in the service that we provide.

We offer classroom training sessions with operators to go over Topcon software, which moves into training on site to see how the technology works in action. Generally, we do two full days of training, but if operators need more time, we’ll often recommend breaking that up into four half-day sessions. This gives everyone more time to process the information, and prepare any questions they might have for the next session. Contractors who have experience using other systems have found that Topcon is the easiest to pick up. This means that team members with a more basic understanding aren’t at a disadvantage, and more advanced operators can still dive into the complexities of the system without any limitations.

We also understand that the construction industry can have a high staff turnover rate, and you might need us to retrain new staff members. This is no problem at all, and we’re happy to come back to get new staff up and running on the equipment to avoid any downtime on site.

3. Ongoing service and support

Having multiple offices around the country means that we’re quick to respond to your needs, wherever you are. It also means that in cases where one region isn’t operating in the event of a level 4 lockdown, we can still service the rest of the country without any limitations.

After we’ve completed the initial training, we set all the machines up for remote support. If something goes wrong on site, we can log into the machines from our location and try to diagnose the issue that way. This really speeds up the support process, because we can either solve the issue remotely over the phone, or have a technical team at your location with spare parts within a couple of days. Our phone support also means that we’re only a call away from getting the practical solutions you need to keep your projects moving.

4. Increased efficiency and less rework

The equipment is only as good as the user and the data going into it, so learning how to use the gear properly will help to avoid any costly errors along the way. Rework can come from operators not fully understanding the technology, and accidentally over-digging an area without doing the proper checks prior to excavation. Incidents like this can not only slow projects down, but will also result in rework and wasted resources.

With the proper training and support in place, operators can confidently use the gear in a way that will maximise efficiency, and get the job done right the first time. Spending time to get comprehensive training upfront will mean faster adaptation, less downtime on site, and more profitability at the end of the day.

5. Get ahead of the competition

Advanced construction technology is becoming more of a requirement for contractors working on higher impact projects, and more clients are demanding that there is a machine control and survey aspect. Construction businesses are seeing the competitive advantage that comes with these systems, and looking into how they can utilise this equipment themselves.

The initial capital outlay can be a barrier up front, and businesses can spend a decent amount of money on construction technology, but the efficiency gains can be anywhere from 20-50%. Traditional manual processes are tried and tested, but you need to consider what’s going to be more efficient, and what’s going to make you more money in the long run. The equipment often pays itself off in one particular area, leaving you to take on the next big project.

We’ll take the time to guide you through the complete process to boost your potential and set you up for success. Our training will give you a leg up on the competition, and allow you to adopt the latest construction technology with confidence. Our highly responsive support team will be there to answer any questions along the way, so you can put your best foot forward, to secure bigger and better projects.
